Who’s kidding whom? Just a tad pompous don’t you think? Do you really think that Obama has any less loyalty to the banks, wall street and big corporate cronies than Bush had? Are you really that naive?

I’m glad you included “deregulation” as a disaster. I saw it happen first-hand in the S & L industry, but the lessons weren’t learned, and the bankers somehow (bought?) deregulation for their industry. Almost brought the world down, but the culprits will never be brought to justice – they are too smart, too well-insulated financially, and awash with dream-team lawyers.

Let loose, the S & L leaders went ape, expanded with little consequences-foresight, and veered off into product and geographic areas they weren’t up-to-speed on.

Trusting bankers to regulate themselves – who’s kidding whom!?

ED: Now that I am pretty sure the election is in the bag for O it came to me that I really had totally neglected research on local choices. Fortnately I voted against Conger because of the overkill (he and other righties) could employ with ads and signs. Lots of $ came from somewhere for a local race. Go Dems (wishful thinking).
